Earlier this week, John Holmes, leader of The JH Group at ATM, opened the doors to a feeder program for ATM.

The site, which is still under development, claims that:

Everyone gets paid, yes everyone , and warns that this

is for serious people only.

Wild claims, some would say, and anyone who spends any

time online would naturally be sceptical, after a constant

barrage of hyped-up claims.

But I have worked with John Holmes since I joined the ATM

last November, and he has delivered on every promise he

has made, and I know there are plenty of other members

of ATM who would agree with me. John invited anyone who

upgraded to platinum to join his group. I took the lifetime

ATM Adds Translations Plus Other Upgrades

Back to the topic of teambuilds!

Looking back over my earlier posts, at least 2 of
the teams I was working with are no more - 4u2earn
has closed its doors - they were forced to move
their server and didn't get a good enough response
from members to reactivate their accounts... end of
story.

The other, the BEST team, is still floundering in
the water - the main leaders have deserted the team,
but there are still some members, myself included,
who would like to resurrect this team - great concept,
large member base... who knows, it could still come
back to life.

Here are some of my general ramblings on teamwork,
and whether, in a network marketing community, it
is worth pursuing.

One of the big problems for network marketers is
recruiting people to fill a downline. Not many of
us are natural leaders capable of inspiring huge
numbers of people to join us in every business
opportunity we decide to promote. And most of us
shy away from harrassing our families and friends
until the point that they join our business just
to get us out of their houses (and cross us off
their birthday card list before leaving our 'best
business ever' before we've made any money out of
them!)

So what is the answer to this perennial problem?
One solution is to work with a team, where all
members join under one link so that there is even
distribution of members across the whole team.
But this also has its problems because some team
members will always take the easy way out and not
promote, in the belief that the team will do all
the work and they will reap the rewards. From my
experience though this is what a lot of so-called
marketers will do anyway - sign up and rely on
spillover from their upline to get them the sign-
ups they need. These people obviously don't take
their business seriously and are only along for
the ride, and will probably never make any real
money in business because they are not prepared
to work for it. Anyone who tells you it is
possible to make a lot of money without putting
in any effort is not telling the whole story!

Do I believe in working with teams then? Yes,
definitely, but be careful who you work with
(this is true in everything though!)

As you will know from earlier posts I work with
a team to build F5M-MC, and I also work with a
team called Wealth4Everyone, which is a community
of online marketers working to build residual
income in a number of programs. If you are

are doing. There is no requirement to get in-
volved in all the programs, you can just sign
up for one or two of the cyclers to start with
(all low-cost one-off fees) and see if you like
the way we work.

Don't Pay Over The Odds For Your Autoresponder

Anyone marketing anything online, be it network marketing products, affiliate products, or a membership site, can't survive without an autoresponder - it should be one of the first things you get set up when you start an online business.

I tried a few different ones at the beginning, including a free script that nearly got my website taken offline because it was faulty and spammed thousands of people (BIG mistake!) I also tried a few that cost less than the industry standard (aweber) but they were just so complicated that I gave up with them after a while.

Then I had the good fortune to discover european safelist, when they were just starting out. As well as being a super responsive safelist (with, as the title suggests, a large European client base) they offer an autoresponder with their upgrades, which start at just $3/month for the silver, although I recommend at least going pro for $7 so you get the monthly mlm leads and free solo ad.

This has proved to be an excellent source of advertising for me - the text and banner ads get a high click through rate, as do the safelist emails. Membership has grown to over 5000 in a relatively short time, and continues to grow, thanks in large part to the good support offered by the site.

I won't try and kid you that the autoresponder is particularly easy to set up - like all online systems it takes a bit of getting used to (or is that just my age showing??!) After using it for several years though I now find it really easy, and there's a user guide (written by yours truly!) to help you get started. I highly recommend this one!

Instant Blog Subscribers - Just Launched

Instant Blog Subscribers launched this week to much fanfare,
and claims that people have already made money from using it.

I only signed up yesterday, so am yet to see the results, but
the claims of it being easy to use and set up are not exagger-
ated. As soon as you set up your blog (very simple to do) an
entry is automatically posted on your behalf (proclaiming how
wonderful IBS is!) so at least your blog isn't left blank
while you sort yourself out and write your first genuine post.

In addition there is a downline builder, and you can add your
own program to this. And if you upgrade you get loads of bonus
advertising, but free is good too.

So far so good - I'll keep you posted on how things work out
with this!

Two Team Builds That Are Working For Me

What's working for me? These are!

RoadToAMillion, an advertising site launched by Mike Peever a few months ago, where members get all the usual offerings of an advertising exchange as well as the option to join a program for a one off fee and get monthly residual income from it!

Members of RTAM can upgrade to join the team build in CookBookDough, where instead of having to pay a monthly fee to get monthly residuals, a one-off fee (starting at just $15) buys you lifetime membership, and brings in residual income (some good recipes too).

The other one is OneTeamMatrix,- join this site and for just $2 per month you will get a co-op ad (this WILL bring you referrals!), as well as other advertising bonuses. The company promises to put paid members under you, and I've already got 3 referrals without doing much advertising myself. For such a small investment, this one is definitely worth joining. After all, what have you got to lose? Pay $12 now, which gives you 6 months membership, and if you're not making money when it comes to renewal time, you can always cancel! The way things are going though, I know I won't be cancelling my order.

Follow Your Dream

Before you can achieve success in anything - sport, a job,
and especially a business, you have to have a dream. And
then you need to keep that dream fixed clearly in your mind.

I have always loved travelling, and have been lucky enough
to do a fair bit in my life so far, but one key aspect of
my big dream involves travelling - I love the excitement,
the different food, meeting a wide cross section of people
and finding out about their cultures. So I felt a little
shiver of excitement this evening when I saw the email from
Diamond Holidays inviting me to their opening ceremony in
Hong Kong at the end of May. Now, unfortunately due to other
commitments I can't go to this, but it suddenly brought it
all home to me, that I am part of an excellent team which is
involved with an excellent company. And in future years I
WILL be able to go to company events in exciting places all
around the world, because our team has already started making
dreams reality.

Probably the most important aspect about all this is the
integrity of the team, and the importance of working together
to achieve mutual benefit for all. This is how we work, and
we strive to benefit all team members. In my view there is no
other viable way for a team to function.

Will This Really Be The Biggest Online Team Ever?

Last time I wrote about a new team build I had
joined, which some of its promotional material
claims will be the biggest online team ever.

Quite a claim. But as it is still early days we
will have to wait and see whether it lives up
to these claims, as only time will tell.

As they have now changed the rules, the team is
looking a whole lot smaller than it was. Before,
people could join for free, and choose to upgrade
before the next compression, which was held when
certain targets were reached - 5000 members,
then every thousand after that. But having got
to the second target of 6000, they have decided
to change the rules, and no longer allow any free
members.

I don't have any objection to this, as I feel it
can only benefit the team long term - those who
are willing to pay for a program are also likely
to actively promote it, which long term can only
be a benefit to us all. I'm sure there will be
those who disagree, and will want to complain
about this, but after all this is supposed to
be about earning money, not sponging money
off other marketers!

So let's hope 4u2earn goes from strength to
strength & earns us all a lot of money!

Will This Team Build Work?

I've said this before, but I'll say it again - team builds are popular!

You will have noticed countless programs out there which are building
a team in this program or that, I'm working with a great team at the
moment (more info here) and the concept makes so much sense. Most of
the people I speak to who are trying to make a living online are fed
up with never being able to fill their matrix, or getting so close to
making a success of it when things go wrong and their matrix falls
apart, or becomes 'stuck'. Tired of the big hitting gurus always being
at the top of the board and at the top of the earnings pile. When a
team works together, properly ie. building the team evenly so everyone
gets their share of the pie, and not just building an even bigger team
for yet another guru at the top - then it benefits everyone and restores
faith in this industry.

So it was with interest that I signed up for yet another team build
yesterday - this is still in pre-launch so nothing to pay yet, and of
course it remains to be seen whether this proves to be successful or
not, but as I have nothing to lose I consider it to be worth a go. At
this stage the only requirement to receive 'payout' (which presumably
won't happen till after the launch and members have upgraded) is to
refer 3 free members or get 150 hits to my url:

So, easy to qualify, but will any payout be worth it? Watch this space,
I'll update this as the build progresses.

Feeder Programs - Are They Worth It?

Is it worth joining a feeder program? A feeder program
is usually a low-cost alternative for getting to where
you want to be ie. pay your low entry fee, recruit a
number of others, and when you 'cycle' you get a paid
entry into the target program.

Some would say that they are not worth bothering about,
by the time you've recruited the required number of
referrals and take any advertising into account, you
would be better off just paying the extra money to get
straight into the program you actually want to join.

So what are the advantages of using a feeder? The most
obvious one is the price, which is usually a fraction
of the cost of the target program. Another advantage is
often a re-entry on cycling, which ultimately creates
multiple positions within both companies, but this is
not always as desirable as it sounds - you may end up
with numerous positions all with different id's which
all need to be administered separately, which can be
time consuming.

But multiple positions means multiple income opportunities,
which is always our goal as marketers. And multiple cycles
brings residual income - income from the feeder program
can either be cashed out or used to buy more positions,
which is what we are doing with our teambuild in DHKwik,
or you can gift these to people - friends, family, those
less fortunate than yourself who could use some extra
income - or even gift them to charities. The possibilities
are numerous.

On balance, I think feeder programs, managed correctly,
are a great idea, and one that you can use to your, and
your team's, advantage.

Talking of Teamwork...

Well, not so much questioned it, because I have seen
the benefits all along, but I am aware that some people
feel that the perceived benefits are greater than the
actual benefits.

My opinion is now firmly set. Teamwork is crucial for
the average marketer.

And the team I am working with now is ON FIRE!

Mlm teambuilds – just the latest craze or do they work?

If you are involved at all with mlm or network marketing, whether online or offline, you must be aware of the increase in teambuilds over the last year or so. Now I know some of you will say this is nothing new, and this has always been the ideal way to run a network marketing business – a team of people all helping each other for mutual benefit, and I’m sure this is true.

The latest craze of teambuilds works slightly differently, but following the same principle of working together to a common end. Using the power of the internet, it is possible to extend these networks a lot farther than with traditional network marketing. You will find many teams online these days, some just joining a single program, others clubbing together to join a host of programs and make considerably more money than the individuals concerned could do on their own.

So, do these teambuilds work? Well, from my experience some do, and some don’t! I appreciate that that’s not very helpful, so let me explain.

Sometimes a group will advertise that they are ‘doing a teambuild’ and encourage people to join a matrix under them on the back of the promise of spillover, spillunder, spill sideways or whatever you like. From my experience, these don’t work for the average marketer, who perhaps gets one or two signups for a program before it all goes wrong. This system might work for those at the top of the matrix, and who have no problem filling a large matrix without having to worry too much about the odd hiccup caused by some poor newbie marketer who isn’t able to refer anyone. But if you are that newbie sat on your own in the middle somewhere, not getting any spill any which way, then you’re going to be in exactly the same position as if there was no teambuild.

So can these teambuilds work? Yes, if they done properly, and the best ones I have seen are those where everyone signs up under one url, at the top obviously, so that the matrix is built evenly right across, giving everyone a fair chance. There are a few about at the moment, you can take a look here at some of them, where careful placement or straightforward matrix filling is working for the whole team, not just the initiator.

Are Free Programs Worth Joining?

There are many people out there who will tell you that
it's not worth joining free programs; there's no such
thing as a free lunch; you get what you pay for etc etc.
The long list of quotes and perceived wisdoms goes on and
on.

And to some extent it's true; you are not going to get
rich from a free program.

But stop and think about all the great free programs that
are available to help promote your business - I'm thinking
of traffic exchanges, safelists, ad sites etc. And all of
these have affiliate programs, and some of them will make
you money over time - not a lot, but as all internet marketers
know, we should be looking to build multiple streams of
income. And the income from these free systems and programs
should not be discounted.

If you're still in any doubt about the value of free, take

Is This The Best Of Both Worlds?

Back in 2009 when CookBookDough first launched, I took
a look and liked the program, the product seemed good
and I could see the possibilities for mass appeal - we
all like to eat, so we all like recipes!

However, at the time, I didn't want to get tied in to
a monthly payment program - monthly membership programs
are the best way to earn, and the only way to get secure
residual income. I know there is always the risk of your
downline not renewing, but if you do build a good strong
team in a monthly program, you get regular residual
income.

This week I had an email from Mike Peever, the founder
of CookBookDough, and he's started a teambuild - not
just another teambuild, but one where you can get life
time membership in CBD for a one-off fee. Now I was really
interested! It meant I could get membership in a great
program for my favourite kind of sign-up fee - a low
one-off payment. There are different levels to join at
but they all lead to the same place - a great residual
monthly income with no fall-out because everyone has
already paid!

This to me is definitely the best of both worlds!

YOU Are The Product!

When promoting a network marketing or mlm opportunity indirectly,
as described in previous posts, it's important to 'tell' not 'sell'
to your audience - you have attracted their attention, so there's
no need to try and push your opportunity on them. Instead, tell
them about the advantages of using your product, tell them what
you are doing to grow your business, and how you're using the
system or product you are promoting. Give them information of
value, make them see that it's not all about you but show them
that you are willing to help them get what they want. Because
ultimately that's what it's all about - you. People will seldom
buy into an opportunity just because it's so wonderful they can't
live without it - they will buy into working with you and being
part of your team.

In other words, YOU are the product you must promote.

Indirect Marketing Using A System

Using splash or capture pages in your traffic exchange marketing
campaigns makes sense from so many angles.

Firstly, people are more likely to sign up for something you offer
that is of value to them, rather than using an affiliate page for
yet another program that is just another money spinner for you -
the online audience is far more canny now than they were a few
years ago, they can see when something is of benefit to you but
of little benefit to them.

So if you're offering something of value, at no cost to them,
they are more likely to enter their details on your capture page.
Once they've signed up to receive details of your HIT system,
they will revisit the site time and time again, increasing your
chances of them signing up for at least some of the programs in
your downline builder, including traffic exchanges. Getting a
downline in the traffic exchanges should be high on your list of
priorities, as you will get free credits from your downlines'
surfing, gradually reducing the need for you to spend any time
surfing. Saving time is the same as saving money, remember! I
have also made money from my downline upgrading or buying
adverting in the traffic exchanges.

Once people see the numerous benefits of the HIT system, and start
promoting it too, you will reap the rewards, because their downline
will be your downline too! And the more programs they sign up for,
the more you benefit from it. They may not sign up for all the
programs in your downline builder, but that doesn't matter - in
time your web of influence will grow and so will your business.

The correct way to market with traffic exchanges

Instead of advertising your affiliate sites on traffic exchanges,
which will get you hits but probably not sign-ups, there's a more
effective way to market with traffic exchanges.

Use splash pages, or lead capture pages, to build your downlines
in the traffic exchanges. Why would I want to do that, I hear you
ask, when I want to build my downline in my primary business? In
other words, advertise TE (traffic exchange) A in TEs B & C, or
use a downline builder like HIT to build your downlines in several
different TEs. Then when your downline surfs, you earn extra credits.
Once you've built up a healthy downline, you can use your extra
credits to advertise your main business. And you might even earn
some extra cash along the way if any of your downline upgrade or
buy advertising!

As part of your HIT system you'll get numerous splash pages with
your affiliate links embedded, and these have proved exceptionally
good at getting signups for my HIT system and the TEs it promotes.
So you'll be offering the TE surfers something of value which they
will be more inclined to sign up to than if you were just offering
them a TE. And in turn you're getting signups to your HIT team as
well as extra credits for you to use as you wish. This is known as

Marketing With Traffic Exchanges

The HIT system will teach you, among other things, how to
successfully market with traffic exchanges (TEs). Many of
the programs listed in their downline builder are TEs, at
no time are you required to join any of these, but if you
are already a member, enter your ID, if you are still
looking for ways to promote your business online, then I
suggest you join at least some of these. HIT has proved
extremely useful to me for building downlines in the TEs.

So what is the best way to promote using TEs? There's a
right way - one that will bring you results, and ultimately
money, and a wrong way, which will see you clicking for
credits ad infinitum and getting nowhere. This goes not
only for TEs, but most other marketing methods - safelists,
advertising sites, classifieds etc.

So what is the 'right' way to advertise? Ok, so once you've
joined an opportunity and got your shiny new replicated
website, you need to get it up there and receiving as many
hits as possible, right? Wrong. Unfortunately this is what
most people will tell you to do, but this direct marketing
doesn't work - it won't make any difference how good your
website is. Very few people will ever sign up from your
affilitate website - you'll get the traffic but you won't
get the conversions from this 'direct' marketing.

So what should you be doing?

What Can I Promote With HIT?

On first signing up for the HIT system, it's essential to
get everything set up to maximise your promotional power.
If you're new to online marketing or don't feel you have
much technical expertise, don't worry, because they really
have made it easy for you.

On logging in to your new system, you'll see, on the left
hand side just below 'Main Members Area Home', 'HIT Success
System Training/Setup'. Clicking this will give you an over-
view of the system, and then take you step by step through
the set-up process, enabling you to update your profile,
including entering your Paypal details so you can get paid!

After that you'll have the option to enter your affiliate
id's for various programs - if you are already a member you

Some of this will take time to set up and read through, so
feel free to work at your own pace, but make sure that you do
follow all the steps - it really is worthwhile training for
you, as well as optimizing your system.

All this leads ultimately to the creation of your own personal
webpage, which can be uploaded to your own webhost or, if you
choose, to your new GDI account.

And you get all this help and training for.... no cost!

So What Are The Advantages?

What are the advantages of using a marketing system like
HIT to promote your business? Why not create your own
marketing material and build your business that way?

The main and most obvious advantage is it saves you time,
and as any business owner knows, time is money! You might
well be able to create your own traffic exchange splash
pages, and capture or 'squeeze' pages, but how much time
does it save me to have those already created for me,
ready to use with my affiliate links built in? I know
that this alone is worth a lot of money to me. I could
create them myself, but I probably wouldn't do quite as
good a job, so the alternative would be to outsource this
task (= money). Or use the HIT system, where I also get
ready-made downline builder pages.

Using these pages I can promote my core business through
HIT, as well as many of the tools and resources I use
every day as part of my online business - autoresponders,
trackers, traffic exchanges, safelists etc. All of which
are additional streams of income which come together to
build an online income.

Learn From Your Mistakes!

Anyone who has visited this blog before or read any of my old posts will realise that up until a few months ago I was promoting a marketing system which, while being reasonably priced and offering a good service, was costing me money every month without bringing any returns.

I finally saw sense (does wisdom really come with age??!) and realised it was time to change what I was doing. So, after some much-needed navel-gazing, I reached a conclusion. Free was better. Of course, I hear you say, but it's also true that 'you get what you pay for'.

So I needed a marketing system with no monthly costs, that allowed me to promote all my programs in one place. If it offered a 'funded proposal' or way of earning money while I build my business, then so much the better. Of course, it must include splash pages, oh and can it build a website for free? This would be a good selling point, because I want it to have an affiliate program too.

Then it dawned on me. I had this already, I'd just stopped promoting it actively. HIT (Home-Income-Team) was one of the first things I'd joined when I started online, but I'd allowed myself to get side-tracked. So I revisited it. And of course Michael Cobb has kept it updated and improved, so it's an even better system than the last time I'd used it. So feeling rather foolish, I set about getting acquainted with the system once again, and actively promoting it wherever I could. And guess what, it works!

Attraction Marketing & Social Networking

One of the most popular tools of attraction marketers is
social networking, and so it comes as no surprise that
GCT Resources intends to be heavily involved with the
brand new social networking and music sharing site,
MyMusicTicket, when the network marketing side of
the program launches.

Now you may well have heard about the problems
experienced last Friday when MMT Plus (the paying
side of the program) launched, and then shut down
a few hours later in order for some major software
updates. And unsurprisingly there has been some bad
press about this, but what many fail to remember is that

I started network marketing in May 2007, and spent many months (and many dollars) before I started to have any success.
